Overview
When connected to an external display, there are two different display modes on Windows and Mac computers. In Mirror Mode, the computer monitor duplicates the monitor on the external display so you see the same image on both. In Extend Mode, the external display is treated as a separate screen so you can have different windows open on each and move between them.
Steps
Windows
- Right click on an empty area of the desktop.
- Select Display settings.
- Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.
- From the dropdown menu, select Extend these displays to set your display to Extend Mode or select Duplicate these displays to set your display to Mirror Mode.
